Event description

Description

ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 19

Discover everything that’s essentially Naturally Gold Coast with our family-friendly environment festival.

You can learn all about our local native flora, buy native plants for your garden or speak to a native garden expert for tips. Get up close with our native animals including a range of Australian wildlife such as snakes, lizards, birds and native bees.

The kids can become a citizen scientist with an interactive waterbug activity, learn how to rescue animals with our pop up wildlife hospital or decorate a pouch for injured wildlife.

Switch screen time for green time with NaturallyGC and find the best nature trails for bushwalks, mountain biking, picnics, nature activities and more.

If you have an old teddy bear that you no longer require we will also be hosting a teddy bear drive for orphaned and sick joeys to cuddle to help make them feel safe and keep them warm while they are recovering.

Displays include;

  • Griffith University Centre for Coastal Management
  • Griffith University and Natura Gro Native app
  • Animal management
  • Koala conservation
  • Pest management including environmental weeds display
  • Club Kokoda bushwalking
  • Wildcare wildlife rescues
  • Native bees with Dr Toby Smith
