Event description

Description

Come along to a weekend of training and citizen advocacy at the National Water Week Summit in Canberra!

At the Water Week Summit you'll get skilled up, fired up and ready to go.

Together, we'll hand-deliver local community petitions and amplify the voices of the towns, waterbirds, Traditional Owners, artists, red gums, scientists, tourism operators and turtles who call the Murray-Darling Basin home.

By the end of the weekend, you'll be:

  • Inspired to do simple, practical things to speak out for our rivers
  • Skilled up to speak effectively about water policy and how it affects your community
  • Confident meeting with elected representatives
  • Motivated to have meaningful conversations that inspire people you know
  • Recharged and excited to head home and mobilise your local community to stand up for the Murray-Darling.

Check out the Water Week Summit website for a full event description.

Interested, but like to know more? Leave your details and a friendly volunteer will give you a call to talk you through the summit.

Is ticket or travel cost a barrier for you to attend? We're offering low cost tickets for students, pensioners and unwaged legends. We also have a limited amount of scholarships avaliable. Find out more about scholarships and how to apply.

The summit is organised by people from your local community and supported by the Lifeblood Alliance of environment, indigenous and community groups (including ACF!).

You can read ACF's privacy policy here.
