Event description

Description

Liverpool City Council is holding a special tree planting event in Brownes Farm Reserve to celebrate National Tree Day.

Endorsed by the Planet Ark and sponsored by Toyota, National Tree Day was established in 1996 as a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the earth and give back to their community. It's a day to venture outdoors and get to know your community, and most importantly, to have fun!

Come along, plant a tree and learn why this area of Liverpool is so special – you can help Council to expand the ongoing bush regeneration works already being done in the reserve.

Join us from 9am to 12pm. The best way to access the park is from the end of First Ave, Hoxton Park.

Council provides all plants, tools and a planting demonstration. There will be a free BBQ lunch for everyone who lends a hand, face painting for the kids and the opportunity to get up close and personal to some of our beautiful native animals.

Planting is suitable for all ages so bring your family and friends!

Participants are reminded to wear enclosed shoes, a hat, sunscreen and a long sleeved shirt, and to bring a water bottle and gloves if they have them.

We look forward to seeing you there. For more information please call Council on 1300 36 2170.
