Event description

Description

National Tree Day is Australia's largest tree-planting and nature care event. Each year on the last Sunday in July, more than 200,000 people take part in National Tree Day events at thousands of sites organised by councils, schools, businesses and communities across the country.

Inner West Council celebrates National Tree Day every year with community tree planting days at various sites. These new trees will contribute to the area's biodiversity and urban canopy for years to come. There are three planting sites for 2017:

  • Leichhardt Park, Leichhardt from 10am-12pm
  • Richard Murden Reserve, Haberfield from 9am-12pm
  • Steel Park, Marrickville from 10am-12pm

Please choose your preferred site when RSVPing. All welcome!

More details can be found at Council's National Tree Day webpage.
