About this event
Be Brave and Make Change this National Reconciliation Week!
Join us at Hobart's Function and Conference Centre on Elizabeth Pier for what promises to be an engaging and thought provoking lunchtime forum.
Led by a panel of palawa-pakana Tasmanians, this year's NRW Forum will focus on the Uluru Statement From the Heart 5 years on from when it was gifted to the people of Australia, and explore pathways towards Constitutional Enshrinement of a First Nations Voice to Australia's Parliament.
First Nations Tasmanians Rodney Dillon, Aria Ritz and Nathan Pitchford will lead this interactive forum, where we are seeking participation and input from attendees on being brave and making change around creating a fairer and more inclusive nation. An Australia where the unique place of First Nations peoples in our country is acknowledged, respected and structurally integrated into the workings of our democratic systems.
Bring a coffee and/or your lunch and come along to hear their voices and contribute yours to these fundamentally important questions.
Talking points and thinking prompts for the forum will be sent to all registered attendees in the lead up to the event.
