Join us for this fabulous art workshop and contribute to our outdoor mural by painting a bird.

About this event

During this 2 hour workshop you will paint one of 40 kookaburras which in turn will be attached to an outdoor art display on the Holden Hill Community Centre wall to raise awareness of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture in celebration of National Reconciliation week.

The theme is based on Dreamtime Story Koo Koo Kookaburra.

Mentoring provided by Aboriginal Artists from Marra Dreaming.

Painting techniques are optional, conventional or dot painting styles with all resources provided.

Cost:  Free

“This program is funded by the Department of Human Services and it is a requirement of that funding that we collect certain information about program participants. This information is used to determine the success of the program and to inform the development of future activities.”
