The painting workshop will incorporate the discussion of reconciliation, Aboriginal art, and culture and how we can be brave and make change for National Reconciliation Week.
About Bronwen Wade-Leeuwen
Bronwen Wade-Leeuwen has studied Chinese Moku (ink splash) painting at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (1972-75). She was invited by the Australia-China Council to Taiwan as Artist-in-Residence in 2003 and 2005, conducting fieldwork in Taiwan and Mainland China in 2009. Bronwen has presented 'creativity' workshops in conjunction with Biennale Festivals at Art In Society International Conferences (2009, 2010, 2012 & 2014). She presented at seven international conferences, eight national conferences and has articles accepted in seven peer-reviewed journals. Bronwen's PhD research (2010-2015) is in Visual and Creative Arts Education, School of Education, Faculty of Human Sciences, Macquarie University, Sydney.
Bronwen also curated the Bwo-Me Exhibition: Aboriginal Artists past and present, held at Workshop Art Centre, 2011.
