Event description
The NCEIF is back again for 2022 with an exciting program and a great opportunity to see your colleagues face to face. 9 & 10 February 2022.

About this event

Given the announcement made recently by the Queensland Government about border closures and rather than use our contingency option to make the conference virtual, we have made the decision to move NCEIF to Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 February 2022. We moved the dates as we have heard loudly and clearly from our community that we are all desperate for connection. To see each other, to be in the same room and to continue the experience that which is NCEIF.

On behalf of the board and our sponsors, we hope you can still attend NCEIF.

We remain optimistic that we will be able to meet in person and bring you the best NCEIF yet!

The NCEIF, held in Melbourne in 2018 and Sydney in 2019 has been a resounding success due to the overwhelming support from our sponsors and speakers.

Sadly, we were not able to come together in 2020/21 but we are back and will continue to provide highly engaging sessions in Brisbane in February 2022.

Participate in frank and fearless discussions on the challenges infrastructure projects face when managing community relations and engagement requirements.

Explore best practice solutions with fellow industry leaders, including community and stakeholder engagement professionals, communication consultants, policy makers, civil engineers, urban architects, technology experts and related professions.

The Agenda will include:

  • Panel discussions and keynote presentations from senior politicians, government representatives and business leaders;
  • Case studies on major national and international infrastructure projects;
  • Presentations of new technology and other systems designed to support consultation activities;
  • Participatory workshops and masterclasses; and
  • Discussions on risk, challenges, policy implications and emerging trends.

Why attend?

  • Networking with community engagement leaders and infrastructure practitioners from around the country;
  • Learn from successful case studies of best practice community consultation and engagement;
  • Discover new industry trends and policies which may impact the community engagement framework and the development of infrastructure projects now and in the future;
  • Share innovative ideas and advances in infrastructure planning, design and construction; and
  • Explore new tools and the latest research to support community and stakeholder engagement for infrastructure.

The 2022 NCEIF program includes two social networking events as part of your registration:

  • Kick-start the forum with welcome drinks at Mr Percival's, Howard Smith Wharves on Tuesday 8 February 2022 at 5.30pm.
  • Cocktails Soiree - Reflections, looking into the future from 5pm on Wednesday 9 February on level 2 of Cloudland. Walk down the stairs and be transported into the Genie bottle.

Both events are included in the forum registration price.

We want you to leave this event with an understanding of where our industry is heading, with practical ideas that you can implement on your projects. We want you to gain so many new contacts your phone directory can’t cope and to have had fun in the process!

Ultimately, we want you to know that what you do is important and you are supported and valued.

Kind regards

Donna and Melanie.
