National Centre for Timber Durability and Design Life
First Research Showcase
The National Centre for Timber Durability and Design Life cordially invites you to attend the first research showcase to highlight the accomplishments of our students and staff over the past 2.5 years.
The Centre is hosted by the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) in partnership with the University of Queensland (UQ) and the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) with extensive support from Forest and Wood Products Australia. The Centre is based at the EcoScience Precinct in Brisbane with partners based at UQ and DAF as well as collaboration with the University of South Australia and the University of Tasmania.
Agenda: The Showcase will begin at 9 am with introductions by followed by a short address by Dr. Chris Lafferty to discuss FWPA role. The day will consist of a series of short (10-12 minutes) presentations on aspects of the Centre related to its primary objectives from our full time researchers as well as our graduate students. Each group of 2 to 4 presentations will be followed by a brief open question comment period and a final session to discuss research priorities. This is an excellent chance to see the work in progress as well as to provide input
Cost: The Showcase is free but you must register in advance and space is limited because of Covid 19 restrictions.
If you have any troubles on the day please contact Jeff on 0423348160.
