Swinburne University of Technology invites you to attend the launch of the National Centre for Reconciliation Practice (NCRP).

About this event

The National Centre for Reconciliation Practice (NCRP) will advance national industry, community and academic understandings of reconciliation and strongly contribute to national systemic change. The NCRP is Swinburne University of Technology’s transformative national leadership commitment of our 2020-23 Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

The NCRP builds on Swinburne’s strong history of national academic and industry leadership in reconciliation. We were the first university to attain an Elevate RAP and are currently on our second Elevate RAP. We co-organised the inaugural National RAP Conference, and co-signed, with 13 other Elevate RAP organisations, a declaration of support for the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

Speakers will include:

• Swinburne’s Vice Chancellor and President Professor Pascale Quester

• Yorta Yorta man Ian Hamm, Chair NCRP Advisory Board

• Bidjara and Birri-Gubba Juru woman, Dr Jackie Huggins AM, member NCRP Advisory Board

• Reconciliation Australia Co-Chair, Melinda Cilento

• Swinburne’s Pro Vice Chancellor Indigenous Engagement Professor John Evans

• NCRP Executive Director, Professor Andrew Gunstone

Morning tea will follow the launch.
