NAPA Connects: Safe Transport for Children & Teens With Disability
Overview
THE TOPIC
Everyone deserves to be safe when travelling out and about in the community. This parent-friendly session will break down the essentials of safe transport and explain common challenges that arise during car travel for people with disability or medical needs. The session will explain how special purpose car seats and vehicle harnesses can support safer and more comfortable travel for you and your child. The session will cover what the Australian Safety Assessment Performance Program (AuSAP) is, and what compliance requirements must be completed for a special purpose car seat or vehicle harness to be used legally within Australia.
