Join James Haigh from ETAC to explore the nuances of static versus dynamic standing, equipment and how this might translate to walking.

THE TOPIC

The session will explore the nuances of static versus dynamic standing and look at decision making relating to progression of standing equipment in relation to activity, participation and function and how this might translate to walking.

Learning objectives:

• Understanding the differences between static and dynamic standing

• Explore goal setting and therapy intervention relating to standing and the role of static and dynamic standing frames

• Explore decision-making around static versus dynamic standing frames

• Understand progression of standing equipment using case studies


PRESENTER INFORMATION

James Haigh is the Education & Product Manager for Etac.

James comes from a strong background in the Assistive Technology space, with 13 years of experience in the AT industry across both the UK and Australia, he is passionate about helping families access the right equipment to enhance daily activities and improve quality of life. His expertise bridges clinical knowledge and product solutions, ensuring individuals receive the best possible support for their needs. He currently works as an Education and Product Manager for Etac Australia, a leading supplier of paediatric equipment that covers the areas of seating & mobility, standing, walking and toilet and bathing solutions. The online discussion goes for 1 hour and will include opportunity to have your questions answered.

INTENDED AUDIENCE

Therapists, Parents, relatives and other unpaid carers of people with disability, who may be seeking more information or advice about their child in regards to solutions for paediatric standing frames. It is not intended that your children attend this workshop. The content presented will be relevant for any carers or parents of children.

THE WEBINAR

The session will be presented online via a Microsoft Teams session, which will require you to have access to a computer and Wifi. The session is anticipated to run for 1 hour including some time for questions (which may be submitted via the chat function). A Microsoft Teams link will be forwarded closer to the event.

The presentation is due to commence at 7.00pm AEDT. You will be able to submit any questions during the presentation via chat, but we do ask that you keep your microphones muted throughout. We will try and get to as many questions on the night, but please note that we may not have time or we may not be able to answer specific questions in the group environment.
