Event description

Description

Moonee Valley Mayor Cr Andrea Surace and her fellow Councillors invite you to our annual NAIDOC Week flag raising ceremony and cultural celebration.

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are really excited to have:

  • a Welcome to Country by a Wurundjeri Elder

  • fun family cultural activities for the children including Yarn Strong Sista and Uncle Phil Ah Wang

  • a powerful yidaki performance by Tongberangi Ngargga.

We look forward to seeing you there!
