Event description

Description

NAIDOC Week is held in the first full week of July. It is a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and it is an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our community.

City of Parramatta Library and all branches are participating in a very special NAIDOC Week activity this year. We are helping to create the artwork for special Gunya’s (Aboriginal tents), which will feature at the NAIDOC Burramatta Family Fun Day on the Parramatta River foreshore on the 8 July 2017.

Please come and participate in our craft activity to create beautiful Gunya’s which you can then see showcased at the fun day!

For ages 8 to 12 years

Registrations open Monday 19 June at 9.30am
