About this Event
The National Association of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners (NAATSIHWP) Team invites you to join our virtual Networking & Professional Development Forum, where you can earn 4 CPD hrs.
We acknowledge the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we work so we came up with ways so we can deliver these forums to you virtually. This session is on Wednesday, 2nd of December at 11.30am AEDT. Forum access instructions and agenda will be sent via email to registrants at close of registration, 5.pm AEDT Friday, 27th November.
2020 is bringing a brand new version of Professional Development Day to you and your local area. We will be focusing on issues that will strengthen you and your ability to grow in your workforce as well as update you on the current issues that are happening nationally for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners.
The forum will cover:
• Updates from NAATSIHWP - We will present the current activities/projects of NAATSIHWP to keep you up to date with how we are progressing nationally in promoting your workforce
• Scope of Practice - We run a small conversational workshop that helps you work out the best way to use this valuable resource in your workplace for your benefit and your employers
• Members Portal - Find out how to use this valuable tool so you can keep track of your personal training and discover the many valuable resources available to you
• Cultural Considerations - We open up the conversation around cultural safety and how it affects us all in the workplace. We talk about how to identify unsafe workplaces and what we can do about it
• Self-Care Promotion – Generally, people who work in health are amazing at looking after everyone else but not so good at taking care of their own well-being. We talk about ways we can incorporate self-care into our very busy lives.
