Young women often struggle with their identity. They suffer from a lack of confidence, understanding of themselves and their potential in life.
The MYI Project seeks to help young women develop a healthy identity. If there is a healthy self-esteem, it is less likely that young women will become victims of unhealthy relationships. Furthermore, they will develop the resiliency to be able to overcome their circumstances.
Over the 12 weeks, participants will explore their identity through the five senses. This is an interactive styled workshop, where the participants explore together and make meaning of themselves in relation to others.
This includes lifeskills such as:
- Budgeting
- Planning events
- Planning a wardrobe of clothing
- Exploring options for the future ie career, family, travel etc
- Understanding your mission and purpose
- Planning for the future
- Understanding personal preferences in relation to music, housing, pursuits in life etc
The next program commences in March 2021. Register now to avoid disappointment as the group is limited to 10 participants.
Each participant will develop a portfolio of information about their personal preferences and identity, including a certificate of completion and graduation ceremony.
