MYAN WA December Forum
Come and join us at our last forum for 2016! It has been an eventful time for MYAN WA and we look forward to a fantastic final forum to finish the year.
During the first half of the forum we will host a service/project speed share session. We tried this for the first time, in September, and feedback was it was a great way to find out more about services and build connections. So if you want to speak about your service or organisation please get in contact. We will have six speakers, all sharing for a maximum of five minutes. The final forum will also give you an opportunity to hear from one of our Shout Out speakers who will share their experience of telling their story at the recent Day of Diversity session at a local high school.
In the second half of the meeting the Youth Educating Peers (YEP) team will conduct a consultation with you around sexual health and blood borne virus issues, as they relate to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. The team is developing a training package on this topic and they want to gain your feedback, thoughts and ideas around what this training package should look like, and determine the relevance of this initiative within the youth and settlement sectors.
As always, there will be a delicious morning tea and plenty of time to network.
