About this event

My Child – Getting Started

“Getting Started” is a 6 week block of online parent/carer sessions designed to cover the most commonly asked about areas of support for children and families/carers of children with developmental differences.

Exciting topics include: parent toolkit, self-care skills, speech and language, play and physical skills, emotional regulation and behaviour, advocacy and supporting children in therapy.

The online sessions will run on Tuesday evenings weekly from 6:30-7:30 pm. Families/carers will register for their interested topics on Eventbrite, and follow the link provided to access the sessions at the scheduled time.

Topic 5: Emotional Regulation and Behaviour – 17 August 2021

Childhood is a very important time for children to learn to understand their emotions, to recognize the emotions of others and to learn how to manage their feelings and reactions. This session shares how to promote these understandings in young children and investigates the reasons and supports for behaviours that may be causing families concern.

Learn strategies from our Allied Health staff and have your questions answered in this session.
