Murrumbidgee Mindful Meditation

Calm your body and mind, and enjoy a specially formulated weekly guided meditation. No previous experience required. Suitable for all ages, abilities and levels of fitness and concentration.
These classes are held 6:00pm – 7:00pm every Thursday evening unless stated otherwise. Toni-Maree is available from 7 to 7:30pm each class to provide free guideance and support.
All are welcome!
In the first 30 mins, we go through a sequence of simple yet very effective techniques and training including
- gentle stretching,
- body alignment and
that allow your body and mind to be in the most optimum state for meditation.
The class varies each week to give you a good cross-section of techniques that you can use on a daily basis to calm your body and mind. You will find the clutter anxiety, tension, stress and overwhelm begin to leave your body before you are taken through a 30 minute guided mindful meditation to enable you to feel more peaceful and relaxed in both mind and body.
Most people find that the 30 minute guided meditation goes by surprisingly quickly and is very easy and relaxing to sit/lie through.
The theme of each weekly meditation will be based on awakening and invigorating your Self-Senses which include your
- heart and
Major planetary influences will also be incorporated into the sessions to allow you to better align your energy with these events.
You don't need any previous experience with mindfulness or meditation to participate in, and enjoy the full benefits of this class. However, by attending you are agreeing that there are absolutely no medical reasons or diagnoses that would affect your health or wellbeing in anyway. Attendance is solely at your own risk.
You don’t need to be able to sit on the floor, as meditation can easily be achieved sitting on a chair or lieing on a towel or mat.
You don’t need to be able to sit still for long periods of time. Toni-Maree will show you ways to achieve a restful sitting position, on the floor or chair. You are free to move around at anytime to stretch if you feel at all uncomfortable.
You don’t need to be able to “clear” your mind or concentrate for long periods of time to successfully meditate. Toni-Maree will clear up many of the common myths and misconceptions about using your self-senses, mindfulness and meditation, and will show you how easy it is to achieve a regular routine, without all the fuss and stress.
Periodically worksheets will be provided for those interested in developing the skills taught.
These classes are completely suitable for beginners and also for those who meditate regularly.
Bookings are essential as there are limited spaces.
Cost = $15 casual visit OR $40 for a 5 class pass. Discounts are available for teens and pensioners. Please purchase your tickets 2 days prior to each class.

This is a supportive group of adults and teens who come together each week to encourage, share and experience relaxation and gain knowledge through shared experiences and knowledge sharing.
While spiritual concepts can be involved, this is not a religious or political group nor is a particular style of meditation, attendance or involvement enforced. Our Values include; Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Transparency, Kindness and Thoughtfulness.
Meditations will usually be from one of the following styles; Guided, Mindfulness, Breathing Focus, and Compassion. From time to time other meetings may be held on different days and times focusing on particular topics (eg. Developing Mindfulness, Mini Meditations, Workshops, Essential Oils, 5 minute exercises to boost energy etc or Social gatherings.
A typical meeting of around 12 members involves Toni-Maree leading the group and will start promptly at 6pm every Thursday evening. Please show respect for everyone attending by being on time.
Toni-Maree will be available until 7:30pm each week to answer your questions or to have a general chat about anything self sense, wellbeing, mindfulness, meditation, stretching or gentle exercise related for both adults and teens.
Our members come from all walks of life and backgrounds from beginner to those with decades of experience. Most come to either try out the meditations, socialise with friendly and supportive like-minded people or share their experiences.
