About this Event

UNSW Multimodality Studies Symposium 3

Multimodality is a major field of communication studies with various concentrations of scholars around the world. This symposium and workshop aims to foreground studies of multimodality in the Asia-Pacific, particularly in Australia and China, with a view to consolidating regional links, enhancing a shared research culture, and establishing shared research agendas. The symposium and workshop will bring together leading and emerging scholars from Universitas21 to showcase current research and to explore the theme of Multimodal Agendas in the Asia-Pacific: semiotic resources, theories and uses. The day will include a doctoral showcase by current students.
