Official Ride Start: TDU Tour Village leaving at 7.00am sharp.

Meet at the TDU Tour Village Wakefield Street Entrance at 6:50am to be joined with your ride leader ready for 7am roll.

Ride through the City via King William Street and follow this on to Unley Rd and all the way past Windy Point to Belair.

RE-GROUP POINT AT THE OTR SERVICE STATION AT THE TOP OF THE BELAIR CLIMB

Take Russell Street to Sheoak Rd and then from there turn left into Belair National Park onto Sir Edwin Ave. Follow Sir Edwin Ave till a left turn into The Valley Drive becoming Melville Gully Road. At Karka Pavilion veer left onto Cherry Plantation Rd and continue through the Park to the exit at Upper Sturt Rd.

RE-GROUP POINT AT THE INTERSECTION WITH UPPER STURT RD

Turn right onto Upper Sturt Road and after the 1 km descent turn left into Pole Road and on to Iron Bark Rd. Left onto Cherry Gardens Rd towards Chandlers Hill.

RE-GROUP POINT JUST AFTER THE INTRERSECTION WITH MAIN RD

Continue about 200m and right onto Oakridge Rd, Veer left onto Black Rd at the roundabout and continue till you reach Main South Rd. Turn Right and then immediately left into Majors Rd and all the way up to Cement Hill (the intersection with Ocean Boulevard).

RE-GROUP POINT PRIOR TO DOING THE FAST DECENT DOWN OCEAN BOULEVARD TO SEACLIFF

Ocean Boulevard straightens up and becomes Brighton Rd. After less than 1 km (about 3km from the top) turn right into Wheatland St and at the roundabout at the bottom (overlooking the ocean) turn right onto the Esplanade.

Follow the standard ‘beach Road’ cyclist’s route to Glenelg to see the 10:40am start.

From here riders can make their way back to the TDU Village via Anzac Hwy. Semaphore riders will follow the standard Glenelg- Semaphore cycle route, stopping at Henley Beach for breakfast.

NOTE – By signing up on Eventbrite and by attending the free social rides coordinated by Mucha Adventure, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Mucha Adventure will be in no way responsible for personal injury, or damage to or loss of any personal property.

You must be experienced in bunch riding and be able to ride at a minimum of 25kph on the flats.

Failure to bunch ride safely OR keep up at a minimum pace will mean you will no longer be considered to be participating in the ride. Please see Clause 7 under Preparation, Training, Health and Safety, below.

In order to keep to schedule and ensure the ride is safe, we will need to be strict with these requirements.

Acknowledgment and waiver

1. The Ride Participant acknowledges and agrees that participation in the Ride is inherently dangerous and that he/she participates in the Ride at his/her own risk.

2. In consideration of Mucha Adventure permitting the Ride Participant to enter and participate in the Ride, the Ride Participant hereby releases and indemnifies Mucha Adventure, the coordinators of the Ride and any of its respective representatives from and against all and any claims, suits, demands, liabilities, loss and damage (including indirect and consequential loss), costs, expenses and, interest, whether pursuant to common law or statute, that the Ride Participant may suffer or incur arising from or connected with the Ride Participant’s participation in the Ride including as a result of the negligence, breach of duty, breach of care or other fault or responsibility of Mucha Adventure, the coordinators of the ride and any of their respective representatives. Mucha Adventure recommends that Ride Participants hold current and adequate personal insurance coverage, for property loss or damage, or any injury.

3. Acting Parent/ Guardians of children and/or youth who are Ride Participants consent to the under age child and/or youth participating in the Ride and agree to take full and sole responsibility for the child and or youth’s safety and participation in the Ride.

Compliance with laws

1. During the Ride, the Ride Participant must comply with all traffic and road laws, all directions issued by Police and all instructions given by Mucha Adventure ride leaders at the Ride. Failure to do so may result in the Ride Participant being removed from the Ride.

2. The Ride Participant must wear an approved bicycle helmet securely fitted and fastened when riding a bicycle during the Ride. The helmet must meet the current Australian and New Zealand standard (AS/NZS 2063:2008).

Preparation, training, health and safety

1. The Ride Participant is responsible for ensuring that he/she has adequately prepared both physically and mentally for the Ride. If the Ride Participant has any health issues or doubts prior to the Ride, he/she should immediately seek appropriate medical advice.

2. If, during the Ride, the Ride Participant becomes ill or is injured, Mucha Adventure will endeavour to arrange medical transport, usually in an ambulance. Any medical transport will be at the Ride Participant’s expense. Mucha Adventure recommends that Ride Participants hold current travel insurance, ambulance service membership and /or health insurance to cover such costs.

3. If a Ride Participant becomes seriously ill or injured and is unable to ride, the Ride Participant will be considered no longer participating in the Ride.

4. If a Ride Participant is either expelled from, or chooses to discontinue the Ride, the RideParticipant is responsible for his/her own transport and associated costs.

5. A Ride Participant understands that should he/she fail to complete the required riding distance within a reasonably foreseen time frame, (approx 25kph on flats) he/she will be considered no longer participating in the Ride, he/she will be considered outside of the Ride and accept all associated risks.

Common sense

1. The Ride Participant must ride in a safe and responsible manner during the Ride and use common sense at all times.

2. The Ride Participant must exercise caution on all public roads and other thoroughfares and ride defensively and courteously.

Heat Policy and Ride changes.

The ride may be cancelled, discontinued or times and or routes changed at the discretion of Mucha Adventure with minimum or no notice, due to heat issues or other unforseen circumstances.

However, if changes do occur we will endeavour to contact you via your email address, with as much notice as we possibly can. It is your responsibility to check your emails prior to commencing the ride.
