MTalks — Working Together : Community Led Climate Action
Event Information
About this Event
Community Led Climate Action Plans are a new model for hyper- local, community-led responses to climate change.
Councils in Australia have long been at the forefront of climate change action. However, the needs of communities are diverse and expectation are growing. To respond to the complexity of climate change, communities must be empowered to drive action in partnership with Councils and on their own.
This panel brings together community members, local Councillors and practitioners to discuss how the first community led climate action pilot project allowed a Victorian community to identify their priorities and design actions that are owned and implemented by them.
This event is free, and wheelchair-accessible. Let us know if you would like this event AUSLAN-interpreted.
