About this event
This activity is aimed primarily for GPs.
This is an interactive and hands-on workshop that aims to provide GPs with an understanding of the pathway for managing work-related hip and knee injuries. The education session places emphasis on injury assessment, management pathways to prevent the transition from acute to chronic injury, investigations (when, why and what to order), and referral pathways.
Learning outcomes:
- Outline the assessment and investigations used in the identification and diagnosis of hip and knee injuries.
- Apply a systematic approach to the management and rehabilitation of a patient suffering from hip and knee injuries.
- Manage significant barriers to rehabilitation and how to work with the patient to achieve a safe, sustainable return to work
- Validate the importance of the work capacity certificate
