Who will be with us on the day?

Trained and experienced Monash Student Association volunteers will be your host and will be able to answer any questions you might have (about the event and generally about Monash Student Life). They are there to make sure you are safe, meeting new people and having fun.

Do I need to stay on the same bus the entire trip?

Yes, the leaders need to ensure we haven't left you behind!

What should I wear/bring?

Please look at the weather forecast for Healesville and dress accordingly. Please also consider:

  • Wearing warm clothes
  • Wearing comfortable walking shoes
  • Bringing a hat to wear and sunscreen to reapply to throughout the day
  • Bring a bag to store all your food, drink, phone and camera

Can my friends or family come?

Friends and family over 17 years old are allowed to purchase a ticket.

Non-Monash students who are under 17 years of age are allowed on this trip

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This event is open to all Monash Students and their friends. We are required to see your Monash Student ID when you arrive at the bus meeting point and anyone who is not a Monash student must be accompanied by a Monash student. Anyone who is found to not be attending with a Monash student will not be allowed on the bus.

Please Note: This is an open age event. Purchase and consumption of alcohol is prohibited at this event

Why is the Gluten Free Ticket more Expensive?

The lunch packs come from a supplier called Bread Winner and they provide a gluten-free option for an additional fee. We have passed on this fee.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is parking available at Clayton, Caulfield, and Peninsula Campuses.

Buses will transport the groups from each campus to each of the attractions throughout the day, and back to campus at the end of the day. Please note that it will be late in the evening when we return to campus. Please organise transport home or organise for someone to meet you at the bus drop off point.

Please note that Monash Security can also walk you or take you on the shuttle bus to your car or taxi rank.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Anyone who is not found on our registration record will not be allowed to attend and will not be refunded their ticket.

If you are purchasing more than one ticket, there will be a question that will ask for the other participant's names and details.

Any other requirements before I purchase a ticket?

MONASH requires that participants of any monash activity must complete the Sexual Consent Moodle Unit and the Respectful at Monash Module. Monash students are only required to complete these units once, and not before each event they attend. In the process of purchasing a ticket you will be asked whether you have completed these units and your answer must be yes before the ticket can be purchased.

The "Respect at Monash" Moodle Modules are "Unavailable" how do I complete them?

If the required Moodle Modules come up as unavailable, eSolutions have advised to email respect.now.always@monash.edu so that they can lift the encumbrance temporarily to complete the module.

Any Questions? Email msa-trips@monash.edu
