Overview

Mental Health First Aid training for MSA volunteers and active members of the MSA community.

*This training is offered to the Monash University Community Only.*

Mental Health First Aid training

Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training helps mobilise and empower adults in the workplace and community by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to another adult experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

Course participants learn how to provide initial support to another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until professional help is received or the crisis resolved, using a practical evidence-based action plan.

Dates

This is a 2 day course and you will not be provided with the option to be accredited unless you complete both full days of training.

It is very important that you choose your training sessions carefully as we do not provide refunds and will not reschedule your session. You must attend both days and complete the MHFA short accreditation assessment successfully to become an accredited MHFAider.
