Event Details

Rod Drury, CSC, is a member of the Board of Directors for the Space Environment Research Centre (SERC).  He is also the Director, International Strategy & Business Development for Lockheed Martin’s Space Systems Company, where he is responsible for the growth of Space System’s portfolio of products and services across Australia and Asia. Rod has over 35 years experience in the global aerospace sector, including 20 years in the Royal Australian Air Force and 15 years in governance and senior executive roles with global aerospace companies. He is also a member of the Executive council of the Space Industry Association of Australia.

The SERC is building on Australian expertise in the measurement, monitoring, analysis and management of space debris to develop new technologies and strategies to preserve the space environment. SERC administers the Cooperative Research Centre for Space Environment Management. SERC’s research programs are building on world-leading Australian innovations to reduce and ultimately prevent the loss of space infrastructure due to collisions between debris and satellites.

These research programs deliver significant social, environmental and economic benefits for Australia and the international community as well as long-term commercial applications for the space industry.
