About Boris Ivan

Born in Poprad, Slovakia, Boris Ivan began his hospitality journey while studying psychology, working in bars throughout university. His career spans London, Prague and across the globe, including roles at the iconic Soho Hotel, Hotel Pariz, Hush Mayfair, Mint Hotel Tower Bridge and the Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows.

Known for his expertise in Japanese mixology, molecular techniques and world-class bar operations, Boris has won multiple awards—including 1st place in the Disaronno Mixing Star Competition (2011)—and has worked privately for A-list clients such as Jay-Z and Robbie Williams.

After five years as Global Brand Ambassador for Gonzalez Byass, Boris launched the Boris Ivan Hospitality Institute, helping elevate service standards and beverage programs across the APAC region. His masterclasses combine deep knowledge, international experience and an engaging teaching style that transforms how guests understand flavour and technique.
