Chris is a commercially focused senior marketer with a track record of delivering results through an effective mix of strategy, analytics and creative thinking. He has worked for over 20 years across multiple sectors, from FMCG, financial services to education and retail. Chris is now the CMO for the Heart Foundation, working to reduce heart disease risk across Australia. He recently launched the Serial Killer heart health campaign and compelled Medicare to fund a Heart Health check.

Topic: Marketing with Impact

In February 2019, NewsCorp Australia newspapers ran front covers revealing Australia’s worst series killer, with 51 victims each day. It was the part of a cut-through campaign by the Heart Foundation that leveraged traditional news media to launch a bold and brave marketing campaign. It had an immediate and far-reaching effect on the community. The follow up campaign to drive Australians to their GP for a Heart Health Check was provocative and had a significant impact in an unexpected way.

In this session, the Heart Foundation’s CMO, Chris Taylor, will explain the ideation, execution and results of two risky campaigns and also discuss how Pharma companies can get the most from working with groups such as the Heart Foundation.
