Join us for our 5th dinner co-sponsored by our friends at Mozilla.

Molly and Steve will host us at Hands on Gourmet in the Dogpatch. Mozilla has been kind enough to subsidize costs, making these gatherings more affordable ($50pp).

Mozilla is the maker of the Firefox web browser and a not-for-profit organization that advocates for Internet Health. They build products, technologies and programs that give people control of their online lives, supporting the Internet as a global public resource that is open and accessible to all. They sponsor the Good People dinners as a place for open discussion and community building where anyone can feel included and heard. In the interest of full disclosure, if you purchase a spot at this dinner, your contact details will also be shared with Mozilla.

Expect cocktails at 6:00 and our speaker around 6:45 with a family style feast introduced around 7:00, prepared by our professional chef. Wines will be thoughtfully paired with the menu.

ATTIRE: Attire is relaxed and informal.

OUR SPEAKER:

Arjun Dev Arora is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor and now venture capitalist. As Partner at 500 Startups he leads their efforts in raising capital for the firm and making decisions around how it’s invested.

Arjun is now immersed in the global startup ecosystem. He quickly realized that even people and institutions with billions of dollars are driven by both rational financial metrics but also more human and emotional parts of their psychologies. How does wealth flow into innovation? Beyond growth or returns, what are the most important values or industries that capital can support? What matters to decision makers in the U.A.E., Vietnam or sub-Saharan Africa?

OUR CHEF: Mario Tolentino is an Executive Chef and the Culinary Director of The Market on Market. He's competed on and won the Food Network's Chopped and Chopped Champions series and has worked in Michelin star restaurants in Miami, New York and San Francisco. He is one of the most versatile and talented chefs we know.

OUR MENU:

St. Patrick's Day and Irish cuisine is Mario's inspiration for this incredible menu, for our dinner on March 18th at Hands on Gourmet.

Small Bite:
Soda Bread, smashed peas, farmer cheese, bratwurst

To Start:
Grilled Little Gem salad, red endive, fennel & citrus

Mains:
Corned Beef
Lamb Meatballs w/ stout gravy
Braised Cabbage w/ butterball potato, whole grain mustard sauce
Roasted Brussel Sprouts w/ apple & carroway vinaigrette
Baby Carrots, honey & pecans
Buttermilk Mashed Potato w/ fried shallots

To Finish:
Guiness Stout cupcake, baileys irish cream & peanut brittle
