OBLIGATIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR OLDER DRIVERS

Moving Right Along sessions and workshop materials have been developed by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure. These sessions provide our community with a great opportunity to be better informed about issues facing older drivers and encourage discussion about driving safely, motorised mobility scooter safety, and alternatives to driving - public transport options, safer greener and more active travel.

Session 2: Travel options and retiring from driving (1hr)

• Options for personal car travel - positive and negative aspects of considering

and/or using alternative modes of transport

• Retiring from driving

• Helping a family member or friend face the issue of reducing or giving up driving

• What to do if you are worried about someone's driving

• Legal obligations of licensed drivers in South Australia

• Sources of information and support available
