This session is for adult riders who want to learn more about the skills of mountain biking (Particularly roadies). In the session we will introduce you to the correct riding techniques to build your confidence on the bike which will lead becoming a safer rider whilst road biking however, be aware mountain biking is addictive!
What skills does the course cover ?
The course will look at body position and weight distribution on the bike, braking safley and effectively, how to corner using different techniques and crossing obstacles.
This course has a limited number of riders only so early registration is encouraged.
Who are the Coaches?
The Coaches for this course will be Mark Routledge and Mark Watts. Both Coaches are MTBA Level 1 NCAS qualified and have delivered programs such as SheRides for Cycling Australia, Junior Development Squad training for National Mtb rounds for MTBA and recently were appointed to coach at the Training Camp and travel to the World Champs in Europe with the U19 Australian CX Team in 2017.
Both Coaches hold blue cards, first aid qualifications and insurances.

When is the session?
This session is on 11/12 at 1:30 - 3pm.
What to bring to the event?
You will need a bike with working brakes and a helmet. Feel free to wear your gloves, sunglasses or whatever else you like wearing when riding your bike. Ensure you are wearing comfortable clothing, apply sunscreen, bring a drink bottle (ensure it is filled before you arrive) and a low sugar snack like a piece of fruit, muslie bar or sandwich to top up energy levels if required as 90 minutes of bike fun takes a bit of energy.
