FAQs

What will the menu be like?

You’ll enjoy an exquisite morning tea with a delicious menu prepared by Antiquitea featuring, gourmet finger sandwiches, freshly baked buttermilk scones with cream and strawberry preserve, a selection of sweet and savoury tartlets, mini ricotta and spinach rolls and iced cupcakes.

Tea and coffee is also included. If you have specific dietary requirements please let us know by emailing events@fundraising.com.au.

Who is the guest speaker?

In 2014, at just 18 years old Cassidy Gangell was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Five weeks later her 15 year old brother, David, was diagnosed with the same cancer.

Cassidy and David were treated at different hospitals and both had to make the 406km journey from Albany to Perth for treatment regularly.

During this incredibly difficult time for the Gangell family, they were referred to Cancer Council WA for assistance and accommodation at Crawford Lodge – a much needed home-away-from-home for WA’s regional cancer patients.

Now in remission, Cassidy will share her story, detailing her experience with Cancer Council WA and the role her Mum played in supporting her through her cancer journey.

What's included in the door prize?

Aroma Cafe generously donated a gorgeous hamper valued at $237 to our Mother's Day Biggest Morning tea. We'll be giving this away as a door prize to one lucky guest on the day! The hamper includes two tea cups, a coffee plunger, a bag of tea, a bag of coffee, a Keep Cup, a coffee book and homemade biscuits!

Where will the proceeds from my ticket go?

The proceeds from your ticket will go to Cancer Council WA and will help to fund life-saving cancer research, run state-wide prevention programs and provide support to West Australians affected by cancer, when they need it the most.

Cancer Council WA is a not-government, not-for-profit organisation and is reliant on community donations to continue their vital work for the WA community.
