Event description
Join us for morning tea to learn more about the Australian Government's Boosting Female Founders Initiative (BFFI)

About this event

Round two of the Australian Government's Boosting Female Founders Initiative (BFFI) is now open, inviting female founders to apply for funding to help scale their startups into domestic and global markets.

Grants between $25,000 and $480,000 are available on a co-contribution basis. The program will also provide expert mentoring and advice to successful applicants.

You are invited to attend an information session to learn more about this significant funding opportunity.

Attendees will hear from Dr Jana Matthews, Professor, BFFI Selection Committee Chair, ANZ Chair in Business Growth and Director of the Australian Centre for Business Growth.

The morning tea event will be held at the Stone and Chalk Launchpad, Ground Floor, Allied Health Building, North Terrace, Adelaide.

The event will also be livestreamed and recorded, for all unable to make it on the day.

***

To be eligible for the BFFI, you must be a female founded (majority owned and led by women) startup as defined in the grant opportunity guidelines.

You must also have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be one of the following entities:

  • an entity incorporated in Australia
  • a partnership
  • a sole trader.

The grant amount will be up to 50% of eligible project costs - unless you can meet additional requirements.

You are responsible for the remaining eligible project expenditure plus any ineligible expenditure. Contributions to your project must be cash. You are encouraged to seek contributions from private investors and industry partners.

The grant opportunity will be delivered through a two-stage competitive selection process. You will first apply via an Expression of Interest (EOI) and, if successful, be invited to submit a Stage Two grant application.
