This is your opportunity to shape open data policy and practice in NSW.
We are refreshing the NSW Open Data policy through a collaborative "hothouse" day to look at:
How do we create more, faster, better open data in NSW?
During the day you will be working on creating an updated, co-designed open data policy that is contemporary and useful to everyone, and which has a series of support tools to escalate creation and use of open data.
You will be framing and then developing prototype policy responses and implementation tools or programs that you think would be of value.
Working up these ideas will be conducted as a challenge, with teams pitching their ideas and prototypes to a judging panel and open audience at a special session at the end of the day led by NSW Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation, the Hon. Victor Dominello, and an open audience of open data enthusiasts.
This will be a highly participatory event. And, there is no need to wait for the event to collaborate - get a jump-start and propose ideas at the NSW Open Data policy hackpad now at http://ODchallenge15.hackpad.com and follow #ODchallenge on Twitter.
