About this Event

Morakniv Adventure Australia

Special Guest: Dave Canterbury (USA), Jeff Donne, Gordon Dedman

Taking place on the 16-18 August 2019

Ingleside scout camp, Bloodwood Road Ingleside NSW 2101

This is the first Morakniv adventure to happen in Australia, based on the original adventure in Mora Sweden the birth place of Morakniv knives. Many other countries have recently started running their versions and now it’s Australia’s turn to start a tradition.

We want to introduce you to the world of bushcraft and wilderness survival in a comprehensive way, starting with the basics and learning to use modern skills and equipment. Skills that range from fire making, water procurement, woodcarving, natural navigation and a host of survival techniques all the way through to learning how to use and care for the ultimate bushcraft survival tool your Morakniv knife. This course will be rewarding and demanding but you will leave with a new found knowledge of the bush and how to survive in it, skills that all outdoor enthusiasts should know.

Morakniv brand ambassadors will be here to pass on their skills and knowledge over the weekend; we will have Gordon Dedman from Bushcraft Survival Australia with extensive experience in civilian and military survival and bushcraft training. Jeff Donne will be on hand to provide expert tuition in all things wood carving. All the way from the USA we have Dave Canturbury a leading expert in the bushcraft world he will be on hand to share his knowledge. This is the first time Dave Canterbury has been to Australia, these three specialists all together in one place is a rare opportunity, one that shouldn't be missed.

The course is open to anyone over the age of 16. Starting, 4pm Friday 16th August through till Sunday 18th. This course will be conducted entirely in natural surroundings from an outdoor expedition style base camp, providing an empowering re-connection with nature. Camping on-site will require you to have your own equipment (Once you've registered we will send the full equipment list for more information on what to bring).

We have limited places on this inaugural Morakniv adventure Australia, so don’t miss out, sign up now for your chance to learn and discover from the best.
