The ACT Recovery College is excited to host Dr Fatma Lowden, Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist as she presents an enlightening seminar on Mood Disorders.

We invite friends of the College, their family and friends to a free community information seminar covering topics such as major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Mod Disorders.

Dr Fatma Lowden originally trained in medicine and psychiatry in Turkey, where she practised privately and in public hospitals, lectured at universities, conducted academic research and ran a forensic psychiatry unit. After moving to Australia in 1984, Lowden passed the Australian Medical Council exams for overseas qualified doctors to practice medicine in Australia and then completed another five years training to become a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Holding numerous academic and public sector positions over the years her current focus is in her private practice and as the ACT Branch Chair of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
