About this event

This approach has empowered carers and helped to enhance their relationship with the person living with dementia. Presented by Director of Professional Development Australia Jade Sinclair.

Jade, has over 17 years’ experience in the Aged Care industry. She is passionate about improving the quality of support available for people living with dementia and those that care for them.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Understanding how memory works
  • Applying Montessori principles into the home environment
  • Creating supportive and prepared environments
  • Engagement the Montessori way
  • Framework for problem solving

This session will be conducted in person only at the Midnight Hotel .

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for Covid 19 procedures.

Please note: To attend, you must be a family or friend caring for someone with dementia, be registered with Carers ACT and not have participated in this activity before. As there are only limited spaces available, only one person from each family can attend.
