Celebrating a Campaign that Values Play in Children’s Lives

Please join us for a Monday@Murdoch seminar and networking celebration with WA ECE advocacy organisations to reflect on the three-year campaign achievements and to consider our future actions leading into the WA State election March 2021. After the seminar we will be provide light refreshments in the Education staffroom until 7.00pm.

More than 10,000 Western Australians, from all walks of life and from across the state, have shown their support for a WA Play Strategy initiative.  In addition, 180+ WA organisations have also endorsed to protect children’s right to play as charted in the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child (Article 31; General Comment 17).  The play strategy campaign now calls on the Western Australian government to reinstate young children’s right to learn through play at school and in the community, and to develop a government-led WA Play Strategy in consultation with the wider community to ensure that all children no matter who they are or where they live can access quality play experiences: waplaystrategy.com
