Event description

Description

What do a public health scientist, soil scientist, marine biologist, and animal welfare scientist have in common?

And why were they on a boat to Antarctica with 76 other women in STEMM? What could we have possibly learnt out in the middle of the zodiac that will help Melbourne shape its ability to adapt to the pressures of a changing climate? Come hear their stories and reflections.

Climate change will impact Melbourne and the global community in many ways. How will it influence the way we live in Melbourne? This event will tackle the challenges we might face, and start to develop some tools to help our vibrant city adapt.

Join us for a lively evening with a panel of experts looking at: impacts of climate change on our health system; communication tools to move towards healthy climate change discussion and effective actions; soil in an concrete jungle and growing room for sustainable food production; and making climate change research accessible to everyone.

[Please note this event is wheelchair accessible]
