Event description

Description

How do you incorporate Indigenous knowledge and culture in the work you do?

Cities are Indigenous places. Indigenous knowledge and culture is crucial to understanding Melbourne’s past and present, and in planning for our future. When we think about urban planning for sustainable cities, an Indigenous perspective is critical. So how can city leaders, decision makers, researchers and practitioners better include Traditional Custodians, Indigenous knowledge and culture in future city planning? In this interactive panel, representatives from the Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub will present an Indigenous-led approach to including Indigenous perspectives in urban research, offering the audience the chance to look at their practice through this lens too.
