AI and the Dystopian Future
There is a lot of speculation that jobs and work are fast disappearing with rapid advances in AI and automation. We should equally consider that jobs and work are being reconfigured by new technologies, and that new technologies could be used to create a dystopian society filled with surveillance. Certainly, the world of work is changing rapidly but in complex ways with elements of continuity that need to be understood for the best outcomes across society.
