Mixed Media Workshop for Teens (CD)

Join local artist Alex Beckinsale in a unique full day mixed media workshop designed especially for teens!

Teens will unlock the creative potential of drawing by utilising unexpected materials through hands-on exercises. Inspired by both historical and contemporary art practices, Alex will guide the group on how to layer traditional drawing with at-home materials to build rich, experimental artworks.

Through playful prompts and foundational drawing techniques, students will learn how to push past the obvious, embrace creative risk, and develop their own visual voice. A perfect mix of structure and freedom, this workshop offers a supportive environment where young artists can discover new processes and have a lot of fun in the process 👩‍🎨

Light snacks will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.

This session is exclusively for young people aged 12–17 who live or go to school within the City of Burnside.
