Mini Memory Quilts: Taster workshop
Overview
Memory Quilts are a type of quilt that celebrates the way textiles can carry meaning and personal history. During this workshop, participants will be invited to create their very own sentimental, mini memory quilt using a mixture of fabrics supplied by the workshop and two or three special pieces of fabric brought along by the participant (maybe your favourite T-shirt, flanno, sports top, or an old pillowcase?).
Participants must be aged between 14 and 24 years. Sewing machines will be shared bewteen 2 unless you have your own machine and wish to bring it.
Basic sewing skills will be required. The project may not be completed within the timeframe of the workshop, but participants will leave with the skills to complete at home if that is the case.
