Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes, the minimum age is 18.

Are there any pre-requisites to do the Workshop?

No. Anyone over 18 can participate.

Is the Workshop suitable for beginners? What level is the Workshop well suited for?

Yes, the Workshop is suitable for beginners. It is also well suited for anyone who has recently established their meditation and mindfulness practices and would like some extra information and support to strengthen their practices. If you are well established in your meditation and mindfulness practices, you may find the meditation sessions too short. This Mindfulness and Meditation Workshop designed by Being Mindful Matters also explores how you can change your relationship to worry.

Will I have to sit on the floor?

No, it is optional if you prefer to sit on the floor you can otherwise chairs will be set up for each participant.

Do I need to do any exercises?

It is optional if you choose to participate in the gentle stretches throughout the day. This is not a yoga class. There are some resorative yoga poses demonstrated that you may wish to do. It is recommended you seek the advice of a Medical Professional if you have any health concerns regarding doing any of the gentle stretches or restorative yoga poses. You may contact the Event Organiser prior to the Workshop for more specific information on the exercises covered.

What do I wear?

Comfy clothes you can stretch in if you would like to do the gentle stretches. Also recommend wearing layers to ensure you are comfortable, as the heating is central to the area.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring a meditation scarf or something to wrap around you during the short meditation sessions. A blanket, and a few cushions to support you during the Restorative Yoga poses is helpful to support you to deeply relax. If you have a Yoga mat / bolster you can bring them, but they are not necessary.

Is lunch provided?

No. Unless you have made special arrangements with the Event Organiser you are required to bring your own lunch. Morning and afternoon tea are provided. If there are any special dietry requests please inform the Event Organiser.

What's the refund policy?

You may get a full refund if notification to cancel is received 7 days prior to the commencement of the Workshop.

In special circumstances, a credit may be applied for future Being Mindful Matters Events or services.

If you attend the Workshop and are not satisified there is a full money back guarantee.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Driving: If you are driving there is parking directly outside, which is a shared car park with the Wallan Basketball, and Skate Park. If the Workshop is on the second Saturday of the month, the Wallan Market is also on and the area is very busy, so please allow extra time to park on a side street and walk to the venue.

Public Transport: The closest train station is Wallan (Seymour Line), and it's approximately a 15 minute walk from the station.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. In caring for our environment printing your ticket is not necessary.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, your ticket is transferrable. If you are unable to attend, please contact the Event Organiser prior to the commencement of the Workshop to transfer your ticket to a third party.

Do I receive a Certificate of Participation?

Yes. You may request a printed version otherwise a PDF will be emailed to you within 7 days of completing your Workshop.
