Event description

This full-day course is a fun and interactive way to learn about the role of mindfulness and meditation in education. Perfectly suited for someone completely new to mindfulness or an experienced practitioner.

It is a great way to learn what mindfulness is and learn the many ways in which it can help in the classroom. You’ll explore the science behind mindfulness and meditation, such as the important links between mindfulness and child / adolescent brain development, learn different mindfulness techniques, partake in various mindfulness and meditation activities, and are given simple tools for bringing mindfulness into daily routines.

"A new study from the University of Virginia provides strong evidence that mindfulness training for teachers can help them cope better with stress on the job while also making the classroom environment more productive for learning." [1]

‘Mindfulness in the Classroom’ is a great way to learn how to implement mindfulness tools into the classroom and the many ways in which it can help you.
