Treat yourself to this special annual retreat. You will leave feeling rested, recharged and able to approach daily demands and opportunities with greater calm, clarity and confidence.

Surrounded by towering forest and sweeping lawns with lotus ponds where wildlife come to graze and drink, the Old Monastry Stroud provides the perfect retreat setting.

Facilitated by acclaimed mindfulness teacher, Dr Sharn Rocco, the formal and informal mindfulness practices offered during this retreat bring together Sharn’s many years of disciplined practice, study and teaching.

In retreat there is the space and time to listen to the call of your heart and the calls of nature. With time and space to reflect and revitalize, to take stock and restock you can reconnect with yourself and what inspires you.

Retreat is an opportunity to pull back from running on autopilot, to step off the treadmill and discover where you’re at, remember who you are and, how you can get to where you want to be.

During this special weekend retreat you will explore how mindfulness practice can be integrated into a busy routine, glimpse the habits that keep you stuck and experience the value of silence and solitude. There will be opportunities for mindful eating, moving, walking and talking, as well as formal guided meditation sessions.

This retreat will turn down the volume of radio non-stop thinking, allowing you to unload, clean out and empty your mental desktop.

Dr Sharn Rocco will guide you to awareness of present moment experience. The program will include periods of silence, solitude, interaction, drawing, poetry, meditation and mindful movement. You will learn ways to bring calm, balance and present moment awareness into daily life. The formal and informal mindfulness practices offered during this retreat bring together Sharn’s experience of teaching and practicing calm abiding meditation and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Sharn has studied and practiced mindfulness and meditation for over ten years, attending retreats and receiving instruction from some of the world’s great Buddhist masters. She has twice been scholar-in-residence at the Garrison Institute, NY.
