Event description

Description

During this 6-hour workshop, we will immerse ourselves in exploring the experiences of Mindfulness, Meditation and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to successfully manage the severity of the symptoms of Stress, Anxiety and Depression.

If you have attended the 4-hour Mindfulness & CBT for Stress & Anxiety Workshop, you will add to your 'tool kit' of knowledge and self-care resources.

What to expect from this workshop:

  • Discussions on how to rewire the brain (neuro-plasticity) for self-regulation and self-transformation while Mindfully sipping a warm herbal tea, nibbling on delicious treats and experiencing relaxing, soothing essential fragrances.

  • A Humming Meditation.

  • A confidence and strength building Meditation.

  • Experience how Baroque largo music can induce calming alpha waves in the brain.

  • A Body Scan Meditation to experience a deep and relaxing brain-wave state.

  • CBT techniques to disengage from the narrative of negative thought patterns.

  • How to have a positive emotion that changes the structure of your brain and increase your happiness.

  • How to use the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to use anywhere and anytime.

  • Cultivate a deeper awareness of and around your personal anxiety and depression triggers, symptoms, remedies and resources.

** Many people can feel alone and disconnected when experiencing overwhelming Anxiety or Depression. So to help you feel secure, expect a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space where you can choose to either connect with others and share your experiences or just enjoy the opportunity to learn, relax and enjoy the day.

This workshop is delivered by a health professionals, Julie McDonald and Cath Grey and their courses are always taught with compassion, engagement and wisdom from their combined 60 years of personal practice of meditation, mindfulness and as a practitioner.
