Come and join Karen Haddon, a formally qualified MBSR Teacher, for our next:

MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION 8 WEEK COURSE

Commencing on Saturday the 29th of July 2017, with 8 weekly classes on Saturdays from 3pm to 5.30pm. The last class will be on Saturday 16th September 2017. (Note the Week 5 Class with be held on Sunday the 27th of August)

THE COURSE INCLUDES: 8 x 2.5 hour face to face classes, access to audio recorded guided mindfulness practices, 100 page course book, yoga mat, telephone support between each class and a 1 Day Retreat to be held on Sunday the 10th of September 2017 between 9am and 3.30pm.

WHO CAN BENEFIT? Everyone! Parents, schoolteachers, adminstrators, those who are unwell, executives, business people, students, retail staff, carers nurses, doctors, Anyone!

WHY MBSR? 38 years of research demonstrates how MBSR remains at the cutting edge of integrative and preventative medicine. This life changing eight-week course combines the ancient arts of mindfulness meditation and yoga, with the modern science of neuroplasticity and cognitve behavioral therapy.

THE SCIENCE:

Scientific studies demonstrate measurable results, including:

- Positive changes in brain regions associated with memory, empathy, anxiety and stress

- Improvements to immune function, blood pressure, sleep quality, inflammation in the body

- Increases in attention and productivity

YOUR COMMITMENT:

Developing a sustainable mindfulness practice to support your pyhsical and mental wellbeing, requires a commitment to engaging in daily practice for the duration of the course and beyond. You might think of this like building muscle in a gym, if you only go to the gym once a week, you probably won't build muscle, however, if you commit to a little training each day, then you'll soon bulk up. To gain the most out of this 8 Week program, you will be asked to commit to engaging in daily mindfulness practices for 6 days a week between each class. These practices can take up to 45 minutes a day and are where the benefits of engaging in the MBSR program come from.

If you have registered and then find that you will be unable to attend, please contact Karen Haddon to discuss a refund. Refunds will be provided up to 1 day before course commencement. Should you find that you have began the course and then life circumstances prevent you from continuing at this time, you will be able to complete the course at no further fee by attending future MBSR classes with Karen.
