The Mindfulness and Self-Compassion training program is an outstanding didactic and experiential workshop. The aim is to learn the powerful practices of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion from inside out: that is by applying Mindful Self-Compassion in our lives, we can better use it in our professional work for more effective engagement and interventions.
The applications of mindfulness and self-compassion are revolutionalising mental health. Mindfulness increases our ability to deal with the inevitable stresses and struggles with more calm. When we add Self-Compassion to Mindfulness we greatly increase the power of transformation and capacity for happiness. Mindfulness allows to stand back, to see what is, to pause and choose again, to re-wire the brain. Self-Compassion is about being present with connection and warmth during times of pain and struggles. When we combine mindfulness and self-compassion, we transform how we relate to ourselves and our difficulties in a most profound way to facilitate change and healing. Mindfulness and Self-Compassion are about learning to ease difficult emotions, care for others compassionately, so we can be more fully ourselves in our roles.
Rapidly expanding research shows that mindfulness and self-compassion are strongly associated with emotional well-being, lower levels of anxiety, depression and pain as well as better healthy habits such as diet and exercise, more satisfying personal relationships and enhanced self-care.
In this workshop you will be presented evidence-based strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, pain and other conditions but as well you will be guided in many micro self-care practices to preven burnout. The training program consist of 16 specific practical tools to soothe, to calm to promote emotional strength, resilience, flexibility, acceptance and positive motivation that you can practice in your daily life and teach your clients.
This workshop is based on the work of Christopher K. Germer, leader in the integration of compassion and psychotherapy and Kristin Neff, pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion. In their Mindful Self-Compassion Program, they have successfully integrated concepts and practices from Mindfulness(MBSR, MBCT, DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy(ACT), Compassionate mind training + Compassion-Focused Therapy(CFT) and Cognitive Therapy(CBT) as well as Positive Psychology.
At the end of the program you will be able to:

• Handle difficult emotions with greater ease, acceptance and resilience
• Motivate yourself with understanding and kindness rather than harsh criticism
