Compassion is the essence of Mindfulness and the bedrock of emotional healing.
The Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) training program is an outstanding workshop where you learn the powerful practices of mindfulness and self-compassion from inside out: that is by applying mindful self-compassion in our lives, we can better use it in our work for more effective engagement.
In this training workshop you will be presented with new evidence-based strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, pain and other conditions but as well you will be introduced to new powerful micro self-care practices. The aim of the workshops is two-fold: firstly, to enhance professional skills and secondly, to apply self-care practices so that at the end of the workshop you feel refreshed and revitalised.
Mindfulness increases our ability to deal with the inevitable stresses and struggles with more calm. When we add Self-Compassion to Mindfulness we increase our power of transformation. During the workshop you will be introduced to over 25 practical simple tools to calm, to soothe as well as strategies to promote emotional strength, resilience, flexibility, acceptance and positive motivation that you can practice in your daily life and teach your students/clients. MSC is learning to ease difficult emotions, care for others compassionately and be more fully ourselves in our roles.

Mindfulness and Self-Compassion training programs are for everyone, but they have been especially popular among parents, parents to be and professionals such as teachers, counselors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, medical practitioners, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, trainers, coaches and yoga instructors.
MSC was developed by Christopher K. Germer, leader in the integration of compassion and psychotherapy and Kristin Neff, pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion. In this one program, they have successfully integrated concepts and practices from Mindfulness(MBSR, MBCT, DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy(ACT), Compassionate mind training + Compassion-Focused Therapy(CFT) and Cognitive Therapy(CBT) as well as Positive Psychology.
Rapidly expanding research shows that mindfulness and self-compassion are strongly associated with emotional well-being, lower levels of anxiety, depression and pain as well as better healthy habits such as diet and exercise, more satisfying personal relationships and enhanced self-care.

Mindful Self-Compassion is an experiential journey, an adventure in self-discovery and self-kindness, supported by a very beautiful venue at Peter Canisius House in Sydney.
This program fulfils one of the prerequisites for becoming a Mindful Self-Compassion teacher.
This is a non-residential workshop. However, for those who wish to stay onsite for the workshop, Peter Canisius House offers low-cost accommodation.
